I just love this darling bag. Every time I look at it I think summer days and picnics! I've made it with small prints in pinks and yellows. Zoom in on the picture and you will see that the sky blue color is little butterflies - too cute!

The bag measures 13" across and stands 7 1/2" tall, with a 3" base. The front is patchworked and has the added touch of salvaged lace to give it that shabby vintage look. The back of the bag has a roomy 8" pocket. For the lining, I used pink and white micro checks, which I have quilted. There are two pockets. All pockets are double stitched so there is no worry about them losing shape with wear.

I love this bag so much that I'm hoping to have enough fabric left to make myself one! Of course, all my bags have lots and lots of top stitching for added durability, and I always use two layers of the very best quilt batting.
